I've just finished this today.
I agree it didn't measure up at all. I found it very flat and anticlimactic. The preamble seemed to promise more than it delivered. I was expecting bigger things with maybe some play on MMD or some such. In the end it proved to be a damp squib. I don't know why the setter bothered in the first place.
