I'm wrestling with 35D: "Take top off? Mostly paunch that's not in a fit state." (5)
The clue gives me UNCAP, but I need it to end with L. Can anybody see where I have gone wrong?

I suspect that the other 10 is MUSSELFISH. But I don't like SHRIMP being one of the words: we can't "find" it because it isn't in any sense "hidden" - we just now wrote it in.

I doubt MUSSELFISH is correct, because it is not a word - at least it is not in my copy of Chambers.

Musselfish is not in Chambers, but the Inquisitors don't limit themselves to Chambers. I don't believe FISH for a moment - it's much too general, and there are enough sixes without MUSSEL - I favour REDEYE, WINKLE and LIMPET. But I am still stumped for fours.
