I am watching the reruns of Hetty Wainthroppe on UKDrama and a recent episode has left me wondering where it was filmed.
The episode is from series 3 and episode 5, called 'Childsplay'.

Hetty went to stay with relatives by the coast and was trying to clear a boys name from dealing with drugs. She went to work in the school kitchen and Geoffrey Shawcroos became a pupil.

The area looks so nice and peaceful, I wouldnt mind visiting it. Any clues as to where it is?

Hi there,
according to Wikipedia the series was filmed primarily in areas of Lancashire such as Burnley, Darwen, Blackburn, Rossendale and Bolton. Unfortunately it's no more specific than that. You could try looking up all the areas and maybe narrow it down from there? Somewehere nice and peaceful sounds fab! x

Thanks for that.

I did find a listing that it was filmed at Penrhyn Bay (in between Colwyn Bay and Llandudno)
As I love that part of the coast, I will have to make an effort to go and have a look, next time we are there.
