Brain-boxes

Will those 'Brain-boxes' clever (c-?- ? ) ,persons who have previously answered a question and find it annoying to have to repeat themselves just not do so .Give other AB's a break. We cannot all keep up with your 'superior interlect' (oops). What's the problem ? The whole idea of the site is to try to help others, not to show how clever you may think you are!!!!!!

well puzzled001. If instead of having a go at people who genuinely want to help.you took the trouble to look down the list of questions asked , you would find that the same question crops up several times on each page.If people are too lazy to look down the page before rushing in to post a question, then they can expect to be rebuked for their laziness. This would keep the pages cleaner and obviate the people who want to help having to repeatedly answer the same question again and again.

My reply was purely entered to avoid your observation being listed as unanswered in the crossword section for months.THe crossword section is for questions to be answered. If you want to make facetious observations put them in the AB Suggestions section where they belong.

there are to 'll's in my answer, you are obviously so egosentric as to not realise that your observations and answers are not 'u' As a youngster we used to call people like youself _'puffy-pants' If you don't like criticism , 'tough' Either play the game or take your ball and go home

I agree with baitress. It is most annoying to see someone requesting an answer to a question that has already been given. In some cases only a minute or two earlier.
PS . I hasten to add I am not a Brain-box

I don.t think anyone has ever said they are clever on this section.
I have always found them to be very helpful in answering my questions.
It seems the help you ned cannot be found on this section

Who rattled your cage puzzled001? Someone give you a row for asking a question that had already been answered? There is an awful lot of repeat asking going on, I must admit.

It is possible that I am one of the people that so annoys you Puzzled001.

I answer a lot of questions and also answer the same question when it is repeated although I often add a note to say that the question has already been dealt with.
I agree totally with Baitress and I cannot understand just what you are so angry about. Is it that you feel that you are not given a chance ( you say give 'other Abers a break'?

I cannot recall ever being criticised for answering too many questions as It is normally the other way around.

I ask very few questions but reply to a lot as I get enjoyment from it and judging by the comments that people leave they are appreciative of my help.

If the site annoys you and you feel it is full of clever clogs then surely the solution is simple.

Thanks 'shawnee' ,it would seem that I have rattled the cages of those 'Above-us' I only try to help , if those that are 'having a go ' at me feel that they are so 'superior 'on this site then , I suppose the rest of us should just sit back and wait for their 'undisputed opinion' (sorry for antytypos) Bye ,once again Puzzled 001 (Gary)

People like you are just one of the reasons I can't be bothered with this section anymore .
It used to be nice on here .Lots of camaraderie .
But lately there are too many nitpickers , nasty comments and self appointed Gestapo Grumpies who shout at you .
I used to like answering peoples questions in this section but not any more .
If the search facility were to work properly all the time then perhaps there wouldn't be so many repeat questions .I expect people get fed up with having to scroll through all the time .

sorry, shaneystar2, I only wanted to stop some people 'slaging' those of use that did not see an answer the 1st time around, . The check system , as you say ,does not work , but hey, whats the problem, ?. This is hardlly 'rocket-science, I thought it was a site for people to share their views. I did not realise it was a site for, as I have said for 'clever-clogs' to educate those' below their station' We all want basiclly (typo)to get answers to clues we have difficulty (typo) with, can we not just stick to that?

This is precisely my point .I deigned to answer some poor devils question( a newbie too )and they hadn't put the number of letters and so on and so forth .I happened to have the crossword in front of me at the time as I had just completed it ,so gave them the answers .
No problem for me to help someone .
I was told in no uncertain terms that I was encouraging laziness and the new person jumped upon by the Gestapo .
Well .....we all have to start somewhere and people should be given a chance .
I had no trouble repeating answers for people .It's no skin off my nose . Passes the time of day .
According to Mr S. I repeat myself all the time anyway :)
