If you don't mind me asking, what have you put in for 19a? I have a word derived from the wordplay but it does not appear in any of my dictionaries nor can I find it in any of the on-line ones. I cannot check Chambers 2003 as my copies are 2008, 1998 and earlier.

All the rest is complete apart from this one answer which is currently driving me to distraction.

Thanks. I have that as well and have also found it in quinapalus but I would prefer it to be in one of the standard dictionary sources.

Thanks midazolam. I have always found it odd that the Telegraph allows you to access EV via a search on its home page but not the solution.

Normally it doesn't matter because I know I have completed the crossword correctly but in this instance I am very unsure of the answer to 19a.
