21D Crusader Clue : "They're grating things, are snakes!" / Squire's Clue : "Damask flowers" (5) R?S?S

Now I thought the answers were supposed to be the same for whichever clues you used - but I'd have thought RASPS and ROSES respectively are the only answers that fit and make sense.

Any ideas or opinions?

oh dear - yes rasps sounds better on reflection for the snakes clue but Id only looked at the squires clue!? I think I'll change mine to rasps.

I saw earlier that a couple of people suggested putting both answers - A/O & P/E - as it looked like a mistake on the part of the paper...
