Help heeded with Garmin nuvi 310

I don't know if this is the right section or not, but here goes anyway.
I have a Garmin Nuvi 310 and my son all very helpful has loaded it on to my computer, now I have no maps on it at all, what I need to know is, is there any way I can reload them back to the Sat Nav I have the USB lead for it.
If anyone knows I would be very grateful for any help they can give me .
