Help needed setting a school PTA quiz
6 Answers
I'm doing a quiz for the school again on Friday and would like to keep to the same format as my previous effort in January. I did 40 questions in 2 lots of 20 with the running order (category wise)for each 20 being roughly identical.
Last time I threw in the pairs of cookery and lyric questions below. This time I'm really struggling to come up with something similar any suggestions would be gratefully received.
5 Mexican cookery what is the thin round unleavened bread made from cornmeal or wheat flour called?
25 Indian cookery what is a flat pancake like bread, usually of whole-wheat flour, baked on a griddle called?
16 In the song 'Sylvia's Mother', how many cents does the telephone operator ask for the next 3 minutes?
36 In the song 'Big Yellow Taxi, how much did they charge the people to see all the trees in the tree museum? (1 point for each answer Joni Mitchell's original from 1970 and Amy Grant's remake in 1995)?
For the lyrics one I did spot something about what time was it going to start 'raining men' in the song of the same name (just about half past 10, by the way) but had a complete mental block when trying to think of another song that has a time mentioned in its lyrics.
Thanks in advance

i must confess to no knowledge of the Leo Sayer track; however the Beatles one is a definite possibility. Someone in work has also given me Last Train to Clarkesville so I may even do away with the 'it's raining men' one.
Keep 'em coming please gang - any offers on the cookery? I've had suggestions on sauces (tartare/hollandaise) also thinking about main spirit in various cocktails.
Cheers

I remember setting one where I asked to name a country with a drogon on it's flag.
Everybody smugly wrote down Wales.
then I asked to name another country with a drogon on it's flag - the faces were a picture - apart from the mad scriblings on a table where someone had recently come back from Bhutan
