BBC TV Series Lillies

Does anyone know if the BBC are planning to make another series of Lillies,about a Liverpool family in the 1920s,I recently saw the 1st series( parts 1 to 8 ) on DVD & I think it was one of the best drama series I have seen for a long time,it finished in such a way that it was begging for more series to follow but I do not think the BBC has done anything about it.

I enjoyed this but remember the BBC saying at the end of the series that it wouldn't be showing a second one.

As a cynical Scouser who presumes that " those there Londoners " are biased against us Northerners, I suspect that Lilies ( which was great ) went the same way as " Nice Guy Eddie " which definitely had more life in the concept.

Had it been set in London, Birmingham and anywhere else I'm sure it would have got a second series.

Thanks for your answers, I suspected as much,I'm sick of the constant repeats, & when you can see something really good which deserves more episodes you come up against a brick wall.
