Neck problems & where to buy a neck support
4 Answers
My partner for the last 3-4 weeks has suffered with severe muscular neck pain. The pain is all around his neck & he has found 2 lumps or knots on each side of his neck. His GP has said its only muscle tension!
He's tried muscle creams, painkillers as well as Codeine!
I'm trying to find a neck support to ease the pain for him but don't know where to buy one, any advice will be appreciated very much, thanks.

Although if you look round you can find them much cheaper .I think you can even get them in the pound shops or perhaps Wilkos :))

The best thing would be for him to go to an osteopath.
You can probably help by massaging his back, all of it Put some cushions on the floor so he can lie without turning his head. A little olive oil on your palms helps. Just work in circles where you can feel the tension to try & help him relax. Good luck.

I must say that the other 2 answers may well do the trick, BUT I have had a SPINAL PROBLEM (Cervical Spondylosis) for OVER 10 years, It affects the Top of my Spine as 3 x Vertibrae have worn, so NO CUSHIONS between the Bones, YUK !! Anyhow I can HONESTLY say that I have tried EVERY possible way to relieve the pain, under the sun. As for the Neck Support, YES it does it for me for a short time, BUT I advise ONLY to wear it of a night in bed, NEVER during the daytime, as the muscles become weak & then you come to rely on it 24/7..In my experience you will have to visit your G.P & ask for a note to go to your local hospital where THEY will measure your neck for the correct size support. This can be done over a period of a couple of weeks, or certainly that time span here in North WALES. Good Luck with WHATEVER you try. Kenny
