Morning Harry. I couldn't agree more about the difficulty of the past few weeks. I think myops must have had a new lease of life.

I haven't got:

9a; 11a; 21a; 23a; 25a
1d;17d; 18d.

I'm embarrassed to have to admit I haven't got all these!

Good morning filibuster - there is of course no guarantee that these are 100% correct!!

9a oblivious
11a eyed
21a sum
23a otterburn
25a sideburns
1d clove
17d fluted
18d smirk

Good on you winning the dictionary and a T shirt - I won a T shirt many years ago - before the days when there was a dictionary as a prize - does the shirt still have the grid on the front and clues on the back?

Good luck this week

HW

Harry, sorry for the delay in replying. My OH and I were fighting the crowds in M & S.

Isn't it amazing that when one sees the answers, you can't believe that you couldn't work them out! I'm absolutely sure you're right. I probably won't send it in this week as I feel guilty when I haven't completed the puzzle myself but I still get lots of satisfaction from seeing it completed.

My T shirt has a crossword on the front broken into pieces and the logo "I cracked the Wee Stinker" above it, with clues on the back.

I wish you luck if you send in your copy; and a Very Happy Christmas to you and yours.
