80 I've never fathomed how this puzzle works, but Huia is an extict bird and Huian is in China - am I on the right track ??

RE the obscure bird - I have found 'huma' , a mythological Persian bird - is this in Chambers 2008? - which would make the final answer 'Human'. Can anyone confirm this?

Were you aware that 105 dn had been clarified as being part of the seventh group?

I am right in thinking the thirteenth group are names for golf clubs? I've got spoon, putter and brassie but can't get the other two: 40dn ?O???A and 55ac ?L???ER

Thanks for your agreement Greyfox on 'Human'. I caught up with 105 D thanks to Doc's update with publication of 1895 'Typical'. On this occasion, being late to submit was a happy accident. So I hope I will receive my 'portion' from the Xmas prize pot...
