Sorry I've been so late with posting the answers - I've been really ill. Bit disappointed with the small number of replies, but thank you to all those who did attempt my little quiz. Here are the answers:-

1. A penalty try; by grounding the ball against the FOOT of a goalpost, and by grounding the ball ON the try line.
2. Hugo Porta ( outside-half ) of Argentina in 1987.
3. Colin Charvis ( flanker ) of Wales with 22 tries.
4. Daisuke Ohata ( wing ) of Japan with 69 tries.
5. Kery Fitzgerald of Australia.
6. Andy Dalton ( hooker ) who withdrew before the
tournament began after sustaining an injury in a
practice session.

Thanks to all who answered and I will do another one if you like.
sure; it encourages people if you come on halfway through and tell people how well they're doing, hand out oranges etc.
