If you are looking for a good puzzle to practice on, can I suggest the Financial Times (google FT crossword)? They are not too difficult, they're free, have a good mix of clue types, and they have the answers published the next day so you can get quick feedback on how you did.

This was the reply I got earlier to my similar suggestion.

I appreciate your generosity and than you immensely for it, dr b. I understand the rationale to these answers and keep learning from you. Thanks for the FT Crossword. That should be great practice for me. Many thanks again!
I feel not unnerved ("nerved"?) at all that our friend Matakari wants to tackle the Spectator, but as he has expressed a desire to learn, I feel the FT is good daily "training" for the heavy lifting required for the more challenging puzzles.
