awful mark left on belly from belly bar HELP!!

heya..i gave birth 6 weeks ago. i took my belly bar out when i was 4 months pregnant but now i have an awful brownish mark where it was. it looks dirty and bruised but it doesnt hurt at all. its very dry as well. does anyone know what this could be? as im going on holiday and it looks that bad i wont show my belly off please help!!

This is probably part of that line of brown skin you get when pregnant, I should imagine that if you keep exfoliating it, the dry bit will come of and it will gradually fade like the rest of the mark.

yep, sounds like the line to me as well.

it can take a few months to go completely but exfoliating helps it go faster.

I still have a mark where mine was from having my belly button pierced twice. Its almost 5 years since I was pregnant last and where my skin has stretched it has left a tiny saggy brown mark like the one you describe!
I don't really know how to get rid of it but I don't feel mine looks that bad and I'm sure yours isn't really noticable either.
