Corrie or Eastenders

I have already posted this in TV but wanted to carry out my own chatterbank survey so any replies please.

it said in todays paper that the majority of people who live in London prefer eastenders to corrie... well I must be the odd one out cos I think eastenders is rubbish and corrie is brill and I live in London.

anyone else prefer corrie to eastenders.

Yes I think I do prefer corrie, have they said in the paper how they carried out the research? They might have just asked 6 people in their office lol
I find eastenders less realistic than corrie,mainly because non of them have washing machines and they get to rent a London town house on stall holders wages

Oh yes and of course I have watched it pretty much since it began, i was 7 or 8.

I too live in London and cannot identify with Eastenders at all!!
I much prefer Corrie and watch every episode!!!

I'm in London, but at the edge (Central Line) and I cannot stand Eastenders. I think the reason for me i that it i s totally unrealistic - well, that and I find it is all doom and gloom.

I know nothing about Manchester, so that too might be unrealistic, but as I wouldn't know otherwise, I can just enjoy it more.

Oh, and it is better written and funnier.

"Corrie" is very popular here too. I hear quite a few people discussing it at the bar: never heard anyone talking about the other.

Without doubt Corrie for me. We must be the same age Dot as I can remember the first programme in 1960. I was 8 at the time.

I remember at one time the characters in Corrie wasn't allowed to be shown in bed lol but can't remember who the first couple was that commited that outragious scene!

Eastenderas is absolute garbage, I have lived in east London and south east London, and it bears no resemblance to life or people there, I had some great laughs . that lot are depressive.

Absolutely corrie for me, Eastenders is far too depressing and so I haven't watched it for years. I don't think it has changed that much that it could tempt me back into watching.

Well, it's meant to be true to life, isn't it ?
