Help regarding ford focus Car

Hello,

I have bought a 2003 ford Focus Zetec 1.6. I am struggling get the power into cigarette lighter, probably it is not working I think, but rusty inside. Not that I smoke but I have a Sat Nav.power lead, which plugged into the cigarette lighter which is not working. Do u have any idea, whether I have to buy a new one; If so, which product and where to buy.?
There is a power outlet socket near hand break, it is also not working.
Please can anybody assist me with this.

Sounds like it's a blown fuse. It's quite possible the same fuse protects both circuits.
