I have made a bit of a horlicks with this one as 9 across: Clue: End of disease in hospital initially exceptionally clean (8) I had "spotless" but now I have, S???T?S? which might be "sanitise" but the tense seems wrong. This would give me ?O?N?E for 4 down which is maybe "Joanne" (JOANNA - PIANO). Comments please.
