I am trying to find fragrance-free cleaning products ie general household cleansers.
I don't want to pay a fortune and it would be handy to be able to pick them up with my regular shopping eg at the main supermarkets. Does anyone know where it is stocked?
Thanks.

That is quite a difficult one, my husband is allergic to the perfume in most cleaners, and it is difficult to get them unfragranced. We use Surcare washing powder and Washing up liquid - both available in Tesco and Sainsburys and can clean most things with those - the washing powder is particularly good for cleaning the bathroom when dissolved in hot water-- you can also get active naturals which use natural fragrance which seem to be okay in small doses. You can make your own with bleach or bicarbinate of soda and lemon juice or plain vinegar.

Great annie - I will look for Surcare.
It needs to be fragrance free however, so many of the 'natural' type ones don't suit as they still smell of lemon or something similar.
Perhaps you could try the 'Naked' range of cleaning products which I have seen at Tesco. They are supposed to be free of chemicals and only use plant fragrances etc.

Nope, sorry amaham, whether the fragrances are natural or not, I am looking for something which is fragrance free ie no fragrance at all.
Just out of curiosity shivvy can I ask why you are looking for this? My husband became ill a couple of years ago with some very unusual symptoms which we have never gotten to the bottom off. However, we have noticed that using perfumed products makes him ill and he is a lot better when we use unperfumed products. So i guess I am wondering if there is any connection with your reasons.
meant to say, the packaging is mainly white with blue & black printing - it is usually next to the organic/environmentally friendly stuff. I have also used I think they are called, Ecover, powdered capsules for the washing machine that I got in sainsburys and they seem to be okay - The Surcare liquid for the washing maching is not so good in terms of my husbands allergy, it still seems to affect him, but it is also fragrance free.
Question Author
Unfortunately the Ecover range has a fragrance too in my experience annie.
just checked, it isn't Ecover. it's Simply smart, Eco Pure hypoallergenic - don't think it is as good as Surcare, but it seems okay.
