Roman Legion.always changing
2 Answers
About 20 to 30 years ago I had a piece ot text (credited to a roman soldier) who complained that every time the legion perfected one thing another general would alter it.
They would then start over only to be changed again.
Does anyone recognise this please

Unfortunately, it's a spoof. It first appeared post WWII - but it's very, very true! It'sbeen theorised that it was written by a (probably British) soldier during the post-war occupation of Germany.
