Pounds shilling and pence

I am doing a presentation tomorrow for year 5 students - Victorian theme and thought it would be good to introduce some cost facts, salaries at a particular hospital in 1863 totalled 413.3s2d, I would like to know what that would equate to in modern times, and of course include a separate figure for inflation value (I think that is what I mean!) I also have the cost of 109 in 1867 and and 5,086 for the same year. I rather regret now thinking of this but can't leave it alone now. Please someone help me. Thanks. Louise
