Oh for goodness sakes - I can't believe that you have all finished it! Where are you all? DocHH is going to be furious that no-one has been N & Cing. Not a good week, brain totally addled by quite bad ME relapse so am finding the normally quite approachable Mr Loda something of a challenge this week................................................Help!
I'm with you Devadolly, not really getting my head around Mr. Loda at the moment, though think I've sussed out how the so-called 'normal' clues work.
Tomorrow first thing I am on holiday in England for two weeks then four to five weeks with two of my sons and their families (they live in the Isle of Man), so my contribution may be intermittent. And when I do contribute there will almost certainly be a note of desperation in it, as I will be without my usual props - Chambers, Bradfords etc.
I would have started a thread on Sunday but access to the site was slow to non-existent and yesterday was taken up with a meeting in Harrogate. Posting EV from there might result in a change of luck.
Agree with dr. b. that it was a good challenge but one which you can see through in the end.
Hope you enjoy your extended trrip Christiana and I'm sure that all regular EVers will give you the ncessary support.
Now that all exam work is finished ( until appeals later in the year ) I think a couple of glasses ( bottles ) of red will go down a treat later!!
Thank you for the hint Rollo - most enlightening. Hasn't helped the grid filling though, he is being particularly obtuse this time. No time for more at the moment, hopefully later.
Christina how do you get to the I-O-M? Fly direct or go by ferry? Whichever way wave when you go past or over please!
Hi everyone
I've been unable to use my PC for a few days as my study has been decorated. Now sitting in it with lovely fitted furniture but no carpet or blinds as yet. Also v bare cos all my books are yet to be put into situ. Haven't really got into this week's EV - son's birthday last night so we were out celebrating. Might find a little time tonight. Am encouraged by your positive comments.
A neat idea that was well-executed, I thought, with a pleasing, elegant finish. I've found Loda's works quite difficult in the past, but this was accessible whilst still providing a challenge, for me at least. Most enjoyable.
Am in 'foreign' parts, so will have to reward myself with some of the local waters.
There's nothing wrong with the local "waters" Speravi! Enjoy! Agree with what you say about this week's offering with, appropriately for you at the moment, a foreign parts theme.
Hello Everyone
Arrived home at 02.00 this morning. Had a really good holiday, Herself has to go to work tomorrow, my next work days are in September!
Surprised to see that this weeks and last weeks posts didn't generate the same level of N&Cing as in the previous weeks.
See you all sunday, but not expecting to complete EV quickly, my brain might be as relaxed as the rest of me!
