Suing ITV for religious discrimination, ageism and sexism.
She can tick all the boxes.
Would it not have been easier not to employ her in the first place?

The trouble is AOG, is that the people mentioned, did not employ her and this seems to have only come out since two companies have been merged.
If you do work for a bully, it is very difficult and sometimes the only option you have is to sue.
Funnily enough, it is not just women, Muslims or people of a certain age who sue.
If you have a grievance that is not dealt with, that is the normal next procedure.
I have threatened to sue an employer before - nothing to do with racism - purely down to the fact that they were not honouring their contractual terms.
It seems ITV may not be either: It is also thought that ITV may have breached its own procedures by suspending her

But she is playing the race card. If ITV are bullying then sue them for that.
The article says not white collgue woudl suffer it. B(llocks if you have a bullying employer then they really dont care who or what you are.
She really should have been careful with the expenses. How daft fiddling 5.75 expenses. Perhaps she should be fired for being stupid.

And to your last point AOG, yes when these people pull the race card it will make them think twice about employing 'non white english old people'.
I know there are laws but what noo labour and all the bloody liberals cant get into their thick heads are that laws are only any good if people agree and will abide by them. It simply is not possible to prosecute or prove discimination sometimes.

I'm not being funny but if i was an employer I would'nt employ any ethnics at all ..because if you had to cut down you wages bill by making people redundant you would have to think twice before you got rid of the ethnics otherwise you'de be called a racist and you'd be sued for unfair dismissle because that seems to be the first thing they do.. so this is unfair on the other non ethnic employees.. I suspect that in the past non ethnic employees have lost there jobs because there employers have thought its easier and less trouble to get rid of them..
Forget the race, the most shocking thing is that a newsreader on a local TV station is on 200,000 a year !
Naturally, if you're a lawyer, you'll throw everything you can at the other side, to aggravate the damages/compensation and/or force a settlement. This case cries out for sexism ,racism , religion claims to be added even on modest evidence and all to that end. You'd be doing your client a disservice if you ignored the enquiry, to find anything at all of that kind.
That said, the employer doesn't come out covered in glory either. What kind of employer instantly sacks anyone , particularly on 200,000 a year ( therefore a significant and highly valued employee), over expenses claims supposedly totalling less than 200 ? Where's the disciplinary procedure? Where's the warning? It' would be stretching the law beyond breaking to claim that that was theft and justified instant dismissal.

We all know that discrimination exists in the workplace. I knew someone that would not hire women with children and have met people that said they would never hire specific races of people.
As far as the ITV presenter is concerned, it really annoys me that whenever an asian/coloured person is sacked or suspended they use the race card. If she has fiddled her expenses even for only a few pounds then she should accept whatever punishment is applicable from her employer.
