Daily Star ... an apology
28 Answers
I posted a thread yesterday
suggesting that the Daily Star crossword was a bit simple
and that needing to seek help on Q&P was amusing.
Well ... I apologise.
I have, today, bought a copy of the Daily Star.
Some of the clues are harder than I expected.
For instance ...
10a. Batman's accomplice (5) R_B_N
17a. Freshwater fish (4) C_RP
27a. A spirit drink (3) G_N
11d. Stinging insect (4) W_SP
So, erm ... quite challenging then ...
... and I was wrong to tease.
I'm sorry.

I'm not at all sure, sqad ...
Because the clues in the Daily Star crossword are very difficult ...
... so it is not inconceivable that I may have erred in trying to complete other clues.
Here are two more hard ones:
7a. Holds, or possesses (3) H_S
14a. Brass instrument (4) TUB_
28a. A trio of big rugby wins (6,5) TRI_P_ , C_OWN
(could it be ... "Trippy Clown" ?)
It's all too difficult ... I'm going back to The Guardian.
