Henry Allingham aged 113

I read with sadness today that Mr Allingham, the war hero has died at the age of 113.

I think it is disgraceful that Mr Allingham and also Mr Harry Patch (aged 111 years) have never been honoured in any way, i.e Birthday Honours List, when so many "celebrities" are given OBE's, MBE's etc at the drop of a hat.

We owe so much to these war veterans and I am sure many people would like to see them honoured.

RIP Mr Allingham.
