Which sat /nav?
2 Answers
I am thinking of buying a Sat/nav for the car but theres that many to choose from I'm not sure which to get.
I will not be driving round Europe so I don't want all the European jargon downloaded onto it.
I've read various reviews etc but I still cant make up my mind. 200 is as much as I want to spend...
Any suggestions?

It has UK maps only but you can buy extra software for Europe I believe. I find the widescreen is much much better than the 'regular' one when you are driving. My friend's TomTom appears to have an information bar across the bottom which cuts the space available for the map. (As it is not mine I don't know if you can get rid of that). My Garmin doesn't offer a choice of voices but that wasn't a feature I needed. The only thing I don't have which I would want next time is the voice says 'turn left' but doesnt name the road. You can pay more and have it say 'turn left down Main Street'. The instructions that came with it were too basic for but there is a good 'video' instruction that someone has put together I found on the net that talks you through the features and that was a great help.
