O.K., I surrender! Somebody please give me the answer to 8d "Teacher wrote 5 down"- report is put around: c?r?u?p?s?? (5d is Music), and 23a Repair to meadow with the man who contrived to 21 its clue: ??r?l?y (21 is Marry). Deeply grateful for your assistance.

8d = circumposed ["sir composed" = teacher wrote music]
23a = Darnley [Darn = repair, ley = meadow, Darnley was the husband of Mary Queen of Scots, and so married the 21A clue.] I was stuck with that one.
