When Mark Lester made his claim yesterday to 'possibly' be the father of Jacko's daughter Paris, he explained he couldn't see any other way of making his points - which included wanting some access to all 3 Jackson kids (to whom he is Godfather), which had apparently been denied him since the singer's death - other than turning to The News Of The World. Firstly, it's only been a short time since MJ died and in that time the entire family have been in a state of chaos, so Lester's access will hardly have been priority. In other words, he could have waited. Secondly, although several of Michael's brother's have been interviewed by the press in the last few weeks, the family as a whole will probably consider ML going to the NOTW as a betrayal of them. So his hopes of future relations with them will have diminished rather than increased. He must have realised that would be the case. No doubt, he'll have picked up a massive cheque from the paper and I suspect (but can't say for sure) that in the past he'll have sworn never to cash in on that friendship. No doubt too the actor-turned-osteopath will say money was not his motivation...but still banked the handsome NOTW cheque. Either way, surely he'd have been better off (maybe literally) waiting to see if he did get access to the Jackson kids again one day, then taking a snip of Paris's hair (or whatever) and rushing it to a lab for a paternity test. That way he'd have known his claim was solid, instead of damaging (I suspect permanently) his relationship with the Jacksons and Paris in particular. And, judging by her performance at the televised memorial service, Paris has got enough to deal with for now. In the late 90s, The Daily Mail ran a series of articles about a man claiming to be Paul McCartney's love child. His claim was so convincing (he really did look like Macca's off-spring) that tests were done and they proved...negative. I think Lester has been a plonker. Your thoughts please.

Haven't read the story but caught some of it on Five Live yesterday whilst driving.
If it is true that Mark Lester had donated sperm - put that together with a definite resemblance between the two children (this was what the correspondent on Five Live said yesterday) and you have a potential case.
Should he have waited? Probably - but we don't know the full details. If the Jackson family had said you can't see these kids ever again, full stop, then the media may well be the only way he can gain leverage and force a paternity suit.
If it does prove to be a false allegation (that he donated sperm) then I hope that the Jackson family sue him for everything he has got (not a lot!)
