I wonder if anyone else's copy displays the same problems as mine:

i) The 24dn clue relates to the 23dn grid entry. Where's my Tippex?
ii) There is therefore no clue for the four-letter 24dn entry
iii) There's a five-letter clue for the non-existent 22dn.
iv) 7dn is clued as (5) for a four-letter grid entry. (I haven't been able to resolve this so far, the best answer I have yet has 6 letters).

The remaining issues may be my own shortcomings, but for completeness here's what I'm struggling with now:

- The only possible grid entry for 4dn works with the wordplay but isn't remotely close to the def.
- 28ac may be straightforward, but given the mess in the checking entries, who knows what's needed there.

If you move the bar above 24 up a line and this becomes 22d - likewise to maintain the symmetry extend 7d by a square to match the clue. that then makes 22a on the diagram into 23a in the clues. I think the rest is ok
