Yeah, I though that but can't prove it. Sorry am trying to graduate from the Times to the Guardian. 6 months housebound with a smashed leg does not seem to have improved my crossword skills noticably!

I have never tried the Times but always assumed it was more difficult then the Guardian. Get well soon.
Twin Towns: Notts + IN +WW (Comedy of Errors - Syracuse & Ephesus were the towns in which the two sets of twin brothers were mixed up when seperated).

Many thanks to all for the best wishes, and indeed for your superior expertise. Leg will be fine in good time. Merely on one crutch now so not bad considering I was run over on the 22 Dec. Have also tried to learn Russian but that is, to be frank, not a great deal better than my crossword skills! Still anything is better than daytime tv.

No doubt all will see my pathetic cries for intellectual assistance in due course.
