Thanks to you, too, Kayakamina. So, 'z' or 's'? vs seems right for against, but I cannot find the whole answer spelt with an s rather than a z.

I'm pretty sure it's Z. "Against unknown" is V(ersus) Z (an unknown in algebra) which is then reversed (revolutionary) to ZV.

'I see', said the blind man, but he couldn't see at all. I don't want to start a fight amongst my tutors, and I obviously never got beyond x and y as the algebraic unknowns.
