Have worked out everything including the two thematic clued entries but cannot find the hidden name - presumably of 5 letters? Any suggestions where to look in the grid.

By highlighting words beginning with A, B and Q, 16 letters in all they would indeed be two clued entries and one hidden name, but it doesn't shed any light on the last two. And part of me thinks the Q should be the name from one of the works, though I can't see the author.
Interesting one indeed - If you highlight C(5),B and Q you only shade 15 squares. That was my first thoughts too. The C word is a bit tenuous for the connection. There is another C(6) word which is a name that is associated to the the theme, but I think the A word is the other one.
Must admit the hidden author is still elusive - there are so many who have written about the theme. I agree with jurnerjmw in that the Q is a literary one but no sign of the author in the grid nor the associated name. Am still rolling the pennies

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure I've seen the light.
I have a C (6) and Q (5) as clued entries which are thematic (both literary allusions). I can also
see an A (6) which in my edition of Chambers is an adjective not a noun but could be regarded
as thematic. I can see the B (6) hidden in the grid but cannot see the author. Is the author the
author of the work in which B (6) or Q (5) appear in which case I can't see either? The surnames
of the authors are respectively 11 and 5 so I'm assuming it must be the latter.
There seems to be a genuine (and to my mind preventable) ambiguity with the C (6) and A (6)
as possible options as clued entries (and nothing to distinguish between them). Wonder whether
the setter and editor considered this?
