Resizing picture in Publisher.

I am trying to enlarge a Clipart image using Publisher, but the picture stretches and distorts. The Help section on Publisher tells me to hold down the Shift key, but I have done this and the picture still stretches out of proportion.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the image larger and keep it in proportion please?

Make sure that as well as holding down shift, you are dragging from a corner, not an edge.

Are you trying to use a piece of the full clipart?

Pull the image into Paint. Choose 'free form select' (top left of chart) Outline what you need & paste to a new page for re-sizing. Copy & paste result into your Publisher document.

Thank you tamborine. I have just tried that with no success. I am inexperienced with computers so it might be a case of keeping trying and it will eventually register with me.
