5a Old book illustration: here are two examples as plan can show (7) 'Woodcut' is the old book illustration, but can anyone explain the wordplay? 5d Intelligence having to abandon lead in Helmund (3) Answer seems to be 'wit', but why? 7d My air conditioning is set up for a Mediterranean location (7) Answer must be 'Corsica', but what is the wordplay here? Help please!

Woodcut - 2 examples of wood, cut are as(h) & plan(e)
Wit - With (having), losing H(elmund)
Corsica - Cor ("My!") + AC + 'is' both "set up"
