Cleaning stained teeth

Any tips on cleaning stained teeth between trips to dentist. Front bottom 4 become very stained at the back presumably from tea and coffee.

Try brushing with bicarbinate of soda, it will bring alot off but doesn't taste very nice.

Use a small piece of sugar free gum after every meal. Have an apple after breakfast or lunch. Not after evening meal though. "An apple after breakfast is gold, after lunch it's silver but after dinner, it's lead" Not sure why but that rhyme was passed down through the family!

Sonicare electric toothbrush is the best for stain removal, removes tea, coffee and tobacco stains. Your teeth also feel like they've been cleaned by the dentist or hygienist.

I started using an electric toothbrush last Xmas and it made so much difference to my teeth that when i went for my check-up the dentist thought I'd stopped smoking.
He did however warn me off anything abrasive to clean my teeth with and is very against smokers toothpastes as he reckons they can damage the enamel.
He always gives ma a tube of Sensodyne Pronamel.
