This is a sports crossword......I would appreciate help on these last three
69a....one of first two in the middle......o- - r- r(6)
77a....initially broadcast on Irish football.....- - s (1,1,1)
108a and 92d.....small genius radical Ken hunts for his nickname (6,7) L - - - -a and - -e- - -o
Just wondering....does anyone know if opener is the correct answer to 69a, I cannot get the connection to the clue.....I now think that 64d is Anthony, which means that opener fits.....but I would like to know the reasoning to it!!!......thanks again.
Opener is definitely right, as the first 2 batsmen in cricket are called the openers.
So is Anthony, being first in ANTHONY Daly and finish in Algernon ANTHONY, a jockey
