Thanks for the link, but I normally wait until I get my copy of the magazine, usually on a Friday. However the postman had to ring my doorbell recently to deliver a parcel, and, surprise surprise, I am one of the runners up in the Christmas crossword (it's a jolly good book). This is my first win of the year. Let us hope to see more ABers names in print as winners in the coming year. Happy solving !

I thought this a typically clever Lavatch puzzle but I'm worried by the word play in 35A - is the last letter 'c' or 'e'?
