Decent Dentist needed Evesham/Tewkesbury/Cheltenham beyond area
7 Answers
Hi everyone,
I've moved to Worcestershire recently. I was never very happy with my last dentist, but better the devil you know and all that. My last dentist was private and very good at suggesting you have this and that done, all of which cost a fortune, and to be honest I wasn't all that happy with the end results. Anyhow, what I'm trying to track down is a friendly meticulous dentist in the Evesham/Tewkesbury/Cheltenam area, I would go further for a good one. I'd love to get an NHS dentist if possible, but appreciate it's not easy to find a good one these days. I'd just settle for a dentist who cares about dental health rather than paying for their next Porsche. Thanks everyone and a happy new year to you all.

One example of dentists I've had. The one with the Porsche, did a veneer for me, he did it at top speed, I got the feeling time was money as far as he was concerned - he wasn't gentle and he certainly didn't take his time to get things absolutely right. He ground down so much enamel on my tooth before fitting the veneer that I nearly went through the roof with pain. He wouldn't give me a numbing injection either. A while later I got an infection in the tooth and had to have a root canal op. It turned out that the first dentist had exposed a nerve ending when he ground the enamel down, this allowed infection to get into the tooth. To add insult to injury, the dentist who did the root canal op broke the veneer and I had to pay for a new one. Private dentists have relieved me of several thousand pounds over the years, and frankly they've not been worth the money. So forgive me if my opinion of dentists is a bit jaundiced. If I could find a good NHS dentist in this area, I would be thrilled. Thanks.
Yes I suppose so, but the dentist who did the root canal didn't seem keen on 'getting involved'. Besides which, I didn't have the money for legal fees.. the dentist did. I've only ever had one truly decent dentist in the last 20 years and he retired many years ago. I do believe that people go into dentistry to earn loads of cash.
