3d: Raining all over the place - dig a ditch (7) I?G?A?n Must be 'ingrain' (anagram of raining), but why?
9a Coping when animals initially pushed into troughs? (8) M?n?g?r?. Must be Managers, understand 'A' inside MANGERS (troughs), but coping should grammatically give an answer 'managing'? Lastly: 10a: Disbursement abroad, on deposit (6) ?e?r?s, Must be DEBRIS, (deposit) but dont get 'disbursement?

9a is Mangers, with a (animals initially) pushed in.
Sorry dollymay - you've already fathomed that!
I think it's INGRAIN, meaning to implant deeply. But it's a weak clue. The whole puzzle seems creaky this week, as you point out with 'MANAGERS' which should be 'MANAGING'. Similarly HERBARIA should be HERBARIUM from the clue.
