12a. "A bit of ear from the East is a virus" looks like EBOLA. Is there an ear-part I'm not aware of ?
1a. "One not Old Labour - put in unknown one." "Not old" =NEW. "Labour"=WORK. Put an unknown in the middle "Y" and you should have NEW YORK, but isn't there a W left over?
