A typically clever Schadenfreude offering. For a moment I thought it was a shame that the modified entries did not in general form real words, but then realised that had they done so it would probably have been possible to complete the puzzle without understanding the theme, which would have been a shame. Thanks, Schadenfreude, for another delight.
Thanks cruciverbalist - a few copies of CAM used to arrive regularly, but not any more. Presumably they are now sent out electronically.
K, on the print page under print range I selected page 50 , and it seemed to work. Let me know if this works for you - if not I can try and scan it and email it to you.
Thanks C - these are my childrens CAM magazines which I usually hijack - my own not having a crossword these days. It's possible, though not likely, that they have become sufficiently organised to amend their details!
As usual, a very enjoyable Schadenfreude crossword.
Cruciverbali:
Been watching this thread to see if there were any additions.
I agree with 3 of your extra word locations, but the preamble tells us that they are from 'normally entered' clues. 49a is not normally entered, although it does contain the extra word which I was looking for! Surely this was an error!
Cruciverbali:
The only other possibility I could see was 11dn, but that gives us 2 extras from 1 clue!
I suppose we'll have to wait to see if it was an error - if its even mentioned ;-)
I'm none the wiser having seen the printed solution - the extra "and" is given as from 7A, but there is only a 7D (with no "and"), so I suspect this is a typo.
