'THREE GRACES' by Rustic.

My third EV (a newbie). Looks - for me - rather solvable as I now own the aides required!

I assume my 2nd edition of ODQ has the required answer(s).

Good luck to all! and God bless happy easter.

I omitted to answer your 11a

HiLi (scars) in PP = Horse lover!
Hello Kayakamina, I don't have 34d as an anagram of 39a. I believe the wordplay is that BRIAN leaves a longer word that means FOREIGN, ie BARBARIAN
Hi Doc HH

What was I thinking posting that 'help'?

I had the carriage but got the yips when it came to typing.

Thanks for pointing out my error.
Can't believe I couldn't get the horse lover - given that my husband owns/breeds point-to pointers and is called Philip! All done now - thanks. This was my first EV for about a year I think, didn't expect to finish it so feel quite pleased. Maybe I'll have a go next week too.
Well done Physicsgirl, doing EV is like riding a bicycle, you never forget, hopefully we'll see you next week.
Kayakamina, you most certainly do not have a monopoly on getting the yips when typing!
Hello everyone. Returned from Lincolnshire late Monday and have been rushing round ever since but settled down to EV late afternoon. Now with the grid filled and with various ideas re. A,B,C floating around in my head, but little inspiration re. THE WORD I have turned to the thread (a very long yarn, indeed!) and am feeling very hopeful of completing the whole shebang shortly.
Nice to see you back Physicsgirl and congratulations on Mini2 and on completing the Enigma.
I have spent three happy weeks measuring, planning and buying curtains and such like, with slightly less happy run-ins with Council Tax Officials and those jumped-up TV License people who have been sending me threatening letters, yet when I rang them to tell them I wasn't yet in residence never mind operating a TV set, weren't interested enough even to take down my name and address. Perhaps if they wasted less time and money on sending out pointless and repetitious letters, the fee would come down (or the programmes improve)
Even so, I am still looking forward to coming home
Welcome christina and thanks to all, the heavy hints all finally clanged on to the arthritic foot and with the howl of rage came enlightenment!! Well, at least I trawled the BRB and came up with the appropriate word, which I hasten to add, would never have sprung to mind in the proverbial 'Month of Sundays'!
Hello DD - not exactly a word I use much either, even in the days when it might have applied to me - if it ever did!
