Is there anything special you did on this Bank HOLIDAY Monday?

As I have just mentioned, have any of you worked today on this so called Bank HOLIDAY Monday??
I had to worse luck.Pah!! But only till 1pm though......
You would think that most firms would give their staff an extra day off to make a long weekend.
They seem to think more of PROFIT making rather than the welfare of their employees......grrrrr!!
Mind you , I have asked for the next Bank Holiday Monday off, and one of my seniors agreed to give me that day off.....with a bit of reluctance I bet.

Anyway, I had a nice relaxing day myself after I finished work at 1pm.I had a little afternoon nap,and I tidied up my bedroom a bit.It's in a bit of a mess at the moment.Being such a pokey bedroom, I have difficulty in finding room for everything.Living in a bungalow doesn't help one bit........agghhh!
I definitely don't go out shopping on a Bank Holiday on the matter of principle that it is a HOLIDAY.
I reckon ALL major shops and stores should close on these days,and just leave the local corner shops open.We have an estate corner shop just a little way from where we live,and he would be really happy if the major stores would close on these days.

So, what did all you folks do today then??

I've worked 10 til 5, then come home and made a huge chicken curry , it was very busy at work, I spent alot of the day radioing the security on the car park cos eejits kept parking on the pavement so loads got parking tickets, i wish i had a cut of the proceeds : (

I've stayed in today, it's been cold and showery tidied up and ironed. The OH went out to play a bowls match when he came home we went out for a fish and chip meal to our local fish restaurant..now we are watching tv.

I went swimming at 8am, came back to toast and honey, then went to Homebase - and then I slummed out for the rest of the day, winding up for work again tomorrow.

Went walking in Derbyshire, Hartington along the river Dove, back to Matlock for a cuppa

Sorry .. Work, eat, and make a DVD. That's it.

got up at 10 and the did nothing till about 4 when I made lasagne. Thats it.

I have nursed a cold as i have my entire 4 days off. Back to work tomorrow and really peed off that my leave was spoilt.

We had a low fat yoghurt for afters....niccceee!!

nothing much at all on tonight askyourgran , so I'm just going to chill out in front of my PC,and also do a bit on my music side of things.

Mmmmm....toast and honey is nice boxtops.I like that kind of food too!! :P

A keep fit day for lslowry.Plenty of walking there my friend.I bet you had a good appetite after that.

I think i did on thurs night on the best thing/worst thing about the day thread. Didn't realise i was going to feel worse on Friday and even worse on Saturday! Annoying thing is i never/rarely have a sick day. I have spent more time on here though than I have all year almost!

I've done F.Hall on this Bank Holiday and I haven't been to work either, although I've lost a day from my holiday entitlement in the process. Was going to have a wander into town earlier on but I'm off on Wednesday and Saturday so I've got plenty of time.
