factor30 has a point. If, as you said, you have solved most clues in the crossword you should have letters in place for this clue (12a).
When posting next time can you quote any known letters?

I must say if you just sit in your ivory tower answerindg individual clues I would prefer you didnt respond.

We mere mortals are tring to understsand the setters themes and ideas, But you just want a clue and say the answer, not always correct I might add See guasrdian prize)for the very reason you are not lookin at the whole only the one....
I hope I havent offended you but try buying the paper or download the crossword.

macgee- I think many, many people appreciate kayakamina's help.
Posters wanting an answer would improve their chances if they gave a clue and told us any letters.
Some of like to help solve clues. It's not an admin service where we simply read off answers from a prepared completed solution.

macgee: huh?? K and factor are merely requesting that the question follow the site's rules, specifically:

4. Users should then try and give as much information as possible about the clue for example:
a. The Clue itself, for example: “Where is the best place to ask and answer questions?”
b. The number of letters required, for example: (3)/(10)
c. Any letters which have already been worked out in the answer should be presented as: T?E/A??WE?BA?K. Here the “?” represents a missing letter while the “/” represents a space, a space itself is also acceptable. The answer to the clue is, of course, “The AnswerBank.”

Factors answer of blockage would have also been acceptable . You didn't bother bother to put Cryptic or GK in your heading .

Your comments to a nice gentleman who is a cryptic whizz are a bit off .If you don't want any particular individual to respond then find the damned answer yourself .
