I am really struggling today.
I cannot find the answer to 17 across on the internet. the clue is
The...., the main building od the US congress. 7 letters.
i have f---t-i
i have 17 down as fillet, the clue is piece of meat taken from the best end of neck of lamb, or pork.
I must have gone wrong some where can anyone help?

thankyou, i found the answer to 8d on here but i need to change my reading glasses as i read the last letter as an I!!!!
once i did this everything else got very confused.
