Insurance Price cutting
Renewal approaching and price for fully comp, protected NCB, legal protection and roadside recovery is well over £400.
I have an X reg (10 year old at least) Audi A4 TDI worth about £2000 if Im lucky and am 47 years old.
Why is the premium so bladdy high? Or is that not high?
Do people think protected NCB is worth having? I have heard possibly not. Legal protection? Has anyone ever needed that in the history of motoring?
Best sites to try and get a cheaper quote?
Tried Direct Line, just as dear if not worse than renewal.
GoCompare?
Many thanks.

of course the prices arent really based on what car you drive. It depends on your driving history, where you live, what you use car for and your profession.
I have a legal protection thing on mine. It meant that when someone hit my car when it was parked, i could do the entire claim via my legal cover, will not have to pay my excess and also only give my insurers notification of a claim but dont go through them. It will save me money, so yes i find it well worth it.
i also protect my NCB, that doesnt cost much and i pay £40 for breakdown cover which has also been very very usefull
