Dear all

I have a small bare patch of ground out the front of my property. In it I have planted some Calendulas this year - covering about a quarter of the available space, which will have some nice yellow and orange flowers. These will obviously self-seed for next season, which I will thin out, but I would like to have some other flowers there to give a mix of colours.
Can anyone suggest some flower varieties that (a) are roughly the same size as calendula (b) are self-seeding annuals (c) offer some different colours from orange/yellow.

The soil is a heavy clay.

Many thanks

Cornflowers, love in a mist, poppies a little taller ,, night scented stock, linaria, lavatera, or just buy packets of mixed annual seeds for either sun or shade whatever is most appropriate..
