Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Greetings to all N & Cers. Quite a gentle workout this week. It may sound a bit daunting, but is easier than it first appears - and is entertaining. My way in was to get 38d (a familiar word for most of us, I think), which gave the second letter in 42ac. Bearing in mind the title, both 42ac and 43ac were obvious. I suspect that if I had tried to work through in clue order, it would have taken longer. A G & T before a late lunch will be my reward.

Hello Speravi,
I flew through this, without need of the theme. Enjoy your G&T! I've got to go out in the car this afternoon, so will defer any drinks until later. Roast pork, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and green beans went down well for lunch, would have been nice if it had been washed down with wine however!

nice construction by the setter to create all real words, but there was a feeling once the bottom row was got that there was never going to be anything else top this puzzle

Not great. Favorite clue - 38d which opened the grid up. Thanks Speravi for starting thread and sorry there's no more than five of us to add more....
... unless everyone has passed on, there isn't alot to say. The setter must have had a great idea on this puzzle, but, not so much fun for the solver.

Just to say I'm still here and have completed this without too much trouble. Very busy, though activities curtailed today due to back problems :-( No wine or similar as on mega pain killers :-(

Hope your back is soon better and you can sample the old fermented grape juice again.
Agree with previous comments about this, an excellent concept which somehow fell flat in the execution.
