telling me that I have subscribed to a thread. I found the e-mail informative, but...

a) I don't recall subscribing to the thread
b) your link to unsubscribe from the thread doesn't work.

So I still have a message on my page saying that I subscribed three days ago. No-one has added any further responses to the thread. Am I stuck with it for life??

Gran sorry to but in but I saw your thread the other night about books, have not read the one you mentioned but have made a note of it. At the moment I am reading the Tyrant trilogy about Alexander the Great and really enjoying take care

If you go to your profile and look at subscribed threads, is it there and if so you can unsubscribe. I had a clear up only yesterday of mine

Alex, the book is really good. I've almost finished it. It's a bit like reading the Anaeid or the other classics. The Spartans were a real fighting force. I'm on the lookout for more. The one you are reading sounds interesting too.

The tubes for subscribed threads does seem to play up from time to time. We'll have a big fix-up at some point!

well, I suppose if the gnomes are going around subscribing to threads on your behalf it makes sense for them to do it for threads that nobody's posting on - that way you won't get too many emails.

I have to admit I was puzzled when I got three e-mails for the same post, and no-one else had replied since. It wasn't even my question.They must take them on an ad hoc basis, robinia.
