Have finished, with just a little help! Am wavering with 4D - In the Barrowlands, scatter skittles last up (5) Scail or skail -don't know which to choose.

kail is a skittle and the s in kails is moved to the front.

Still not sure on 29a: I have spina- , but can't decide whether to add s or a and I cannot see how the clue fits either.

Re 29 A I opted for 'spinae' - plural of 'spina' a lengthwise barrier. 'Spin' was the five bucks, ae is one in Scotland
